Privacy Policy — EU PID Check
Last updated: October 31, 2026
1. Ephemeral In-Browser Processing (Your Catalog Stays Private)
We built EU PID Check with a privacy-first, zero-storage architecture:
- Client-Side CSV Parsing: When you drag and drop a Shopify, WooCommerce, or Etsy CSV file into our workbench, the parsing, Modulo-10 barcode verification, and CSV export generation run directly inside your web browser using JavaScript.
- No Catalog Database Storage: We do not store, resell, or index your product titles, SKUs, supplier model numbers (`NS-PID`), or pricing in any server database.
2. Information We Collect
- Checkout & Billing Data: When you purchase a Paid Pass, payment processing is handled by our Merchant of Record (Paddle or Creem, once that provider is enabled). We store your checkout email, plan, order id, pass status, expiry, and the webhook payload so we can issue, verify, and revoke the pass. We do not store your card number.
- Local Storage: The browser stores the active pass key in
localStorage. Each visit re-checks that key with our server. A revoked or expired pass stops working on the next successful check.
3. Third-Party Services & GDPR Compliance
We do not sell personal data to third parties. Payment processors process billing details in compliance with PCI-DSS and EU GDPR standards. You may request deletion of any support correspondence at any time by emailing [email protected].
